The College exits to:
- Recruit and select potential candidates who meet the set criteria.
- Train new entrants to become all rounded police officers in academic excellence, character development and physical fitness.
- Develop all members of the Botswana Police Service from Constables to Assistant Commissioner of Botswana Police on identified training gaps.
- The College also conducts international and regional training mandated by the Commisioner of Police.
